WA's Mark de Mori will win the Australian professional heavyweight title by the end of this year, former world ranked heavyweight Joe Bugner predicted yesterday.
Bugner is impressed with the 22-year-old's punching power, saying he has the most devastating body punch in world boxing since Mike Tyson was at his peak

"Without a doubt, Mark will take the
next big step to win the Australian heavyweight
title", said Bugner, who spent four days
in Perth before returning home to the Gold
Coast, where de Mori is based. |
|
|
|
"He has an enormous punch, which will
take him a long way. Mark's only problem is
his inexperience, but he will win the Australian
heavyweight title by his tenth fight."

De Mori is unbeaten after four professional
contests in Queensland and is the first heavyweight
from WA in 50 years to win an interstate bout.
"Mark will run out of opponents in Australia,
so will have to seek more competition overseas",
Bugner said. |

Bugner also believes that WA's Danny Green would be too strong for controversial Sydney super-middleweight, should they meet in the ring.
"If Danny landed a couple of good punches early in the fight, he would smash him", Bugner said.
"But you can't underestimate Mundine, because he is very talented and fast."
