25th February

Mark “The Dominator” de Mori (7-1-1-6ko’s) made a successful return to the ring on Friday night at the Kedron Wavell Services Club in Brisbane. De mori, fighting for the first time since September 04, scored a third round knockout over tough New Zealander Vai Tovai.

“ I am so happy to be injury free and fighting again, it was not the best performance I could have put on but it had been a long time since the last fight, once I settled down I made the fight a lot easier for myself.”

“ It was great to be back in Brisbane, which is almost a second home for me, and to get a big knockout was the icing on the cake for a big weekend.”

Mark would like to send a big thank you to manager Ted Allen, and sponsor Alan Burns (www.alanburns.com.au) for helping him get back in the ring .

Mark “ The Dominator” de Mori (6-1-1, 5KO’s) will be fighting February 24 in Brisbane, which will be de Mori's first bout since a September 04 loss to John Wyborn. Despite de Mori’s opponent pulling out recently, Brian Kirwan of RedCorner Promotions is confident they will be able to find Mark a suitable opponent at this late stage.

With his new team consisting of manager Ted Allen (who also manages Kali Meehan) and sponsor Alan Burns (www.alanburns.com.au) Mark has renewed energy and fire in his training with the beleif things are finally heading in the right direction after a series of frustrating injuries kept him out of the ring.

"It's great to be back and fighting in Brisbane, they are a great crowd and I love fighting there. I‘m fitter than before and looking forward to fighting, the hard work has been done in the gym and I am excited about the opportunities that Ted has secured for me. I just have to perform like I know I can and big things will happen this year."

Mark will be on www.sportfm905.com talking about his fight live with Chris Korner on saturday morning from 10.30 (western). Mark is a co-host with Chris on the weekly show which covers boxing from local to world levels.
